miniatures

I hardly knew about miniature paintings when I first went
to India about 1970, but instantly fell in love with them.
Indian friends were so helpful & generous

Something of what I learned from them appeared in my
early paintings (also see labels, right). I'm hoping that
a patron from 1970 > 72 will chance upon my blog/me,
so I get a chance to photograph that series,
I neglected to at the time. (I used the name Ann Williams)

There's some original work happening with Pakistani miniaturists,

The V&A , as you'd expect, has some marvellous old ones
