hearts

Maybe I've posted the one on right, before; if so, too bad,
here it is again. Not too sure what is loving what, but
most folks like that part of the dream..

I really enjoy this site even when I don't understand:
but does it float

still there

Still in Turkey, in a way: making new pictures from
the photos I took there. Took the twin sphinx (what's the
plural?) to night at the museum. I've made 20 or so
new images, which are available as limited edition prints.
Most are about A4 size, not expensive.
(email me for details)

the WAFA collective has some interesting works

bangalow

Found a tiny fingerling gecko in the kitchen one morning.
Celebrated a friend's birthday in Bangalow, right is one
of the seed pods from their signature palms.

There are quite a few trees I don't know the names of
& several lovely shops full of things I don't need,
though they are pleasant to look at.
It's a tiny town, not far inland from where I live.

far away, these surprising photos of Afghani police men

plaited

The photo of a huge rope seen on the beach (too heavy
for me to drag home) & the plaits (mine or my twins)
were in the same folder, so I put them together,
thinking various thoughts; you can make up your own story.

My friend Susan Dorf has a new site
Check out this unbelievable act!

experiments

Have been trying out some morphing ideas, they
are mostly too big to upload. One with tiles, several with
water, & lots with buddhas.

The simplest ones work best, there are many
that end up looking like a fluid earthquake, it would
work better with a fade..

Heard this interview last night on the BBC,
what a remarkable little boy he must have been.

gold

A gold brooch left, passed down on my mother's
side, probably from our great grandfather. I'd realised
it was an Islamic design, but only on my last trip did I see
that it must be Turkish. Lots of gold was used there
in manuscripts & many forms of decoration, especially in
Ottoman times, usually with a master's restraint.

gildedplanet looks useful if you want to try it

cyclone

From the plane to Cairns one time.
There's a massive storm /cyclone about to hit Cairns &
many other places up north, they predict 290km hr winds,
..send peaceful thoughts..

A typical road near Cairns from a trip a few years ago.
I remember the massive paperbark trees at port Douglas,
found this piece of bark (unchanged)
under one in Byron Bay. Lady Godiva.
