stone

a small piece of obsidion from beside a road in Turkey

a larger stone from the Kimberley, I hope its not
a metal that would be destroyed in the
interests of commerce.

26/02/2013

stormy

On Friday, more stormy weather with strong winds

These are beneath the clear roof in my courtyard,
it felt very wet indeed.
& even darker when the power failed.

24/02/2013

it rains

A large tree in Ballina, this (wet) week

Trees & sea mist at the Gold Coast
a couple of weeks ago.

22/02/2013

shells

They look like two separate shells, but I always
find them together.

They were all in a box ~  had planned to paint them.
Really should throw some stuff away..

20/02/2013

old

Found the dragonfly in my garden & the stones at
a beach, they appear to be fossilised wood.

18/02/2013

place

This is near where I live, Byron Bay from
a nearby hill,
Mt Warning in the background

Dolphins love it too,
they sometimes surf alongside the people
on boards.

My friend Kiki on gratefulness

different days

Sunset above, sunrise below, other days

Its been very grey & rainy, wanted some colour.

wovensouls

14/02/2013

looks like

Some days: ocean looks like

clouds

& small crabs draw maps in sand..

love this man's work

12/02/2013

shadow

A shadow that only appears for a minute at a certain time of year,
on an inside wall, through the trees at the back of my place.
One face is very clear, no?

06/02/2013

cloudy

Looks like Janus

changing to another face or maybe a skull

does it depend on your mood, what you can see?

04/02/2013

big

Went to Boulder Beach, surf still big

exhilarating & dramatic

in all directions

plus the surf muffled rattle of a million stones
rolling at the waters edge..

02/02/2013

unusual

Because of the sound of the sea, I'm awake at dawn,
when I go there, so I saw the heavy sea mist

& how the first touches of colour are washed
onto the day.
The floods have been drastic for many people,
& their property, unfortunately.

01/02/2013

stormy

more clouds

I never tire of looking at them

weather bureau predicted lots of rain

they were right.

30/01/2013

wild

Went up the coast to meet an old friend,
past all the gale damage, the ocean was still wild

it was beaten like cream, with that funny froth at the edges

from high up, the waves look smaller,
really they were huge seas.

29/01/2013

wet

It's been so wet here, trees thrashing around,
rivers flooding, a weather system beating down
much of the east coast of Australia.
Good indoors.

28/01/2013

clouds

Clearing gigabytes of clouds from storage

Liked these single ones

There will be a few days of them..
cyclonic weather.

16/01/2013

time

These would be good to draw

but the camera is quicker

the lilies in my garden have a faster clock than mine..

10/01/2013

visitors

This guy was sampling the vegetables,

while this one was slowly swaying across the path.
There are lots of birds around because of the bird bath,
even more insects.

06/01/2013

classic

A classic old shed/garage near my place.
The house has been sold, that probably means
it will be demolished.

02/01/2013

sculptural

At first I thought this was bones, or a fossil;
its a large rock from china, formed by nature,
now in the art gallery of NSW.

Wonder whether it's accurate colour
