The beach today was just perfect, lapping softly to the edge, then a few small rolling waves, then calm again. Another couple of hundred shots, got some really good ones, my finger was in tune. & it was quiet.
Anie, that's a lovely photograph. I can just feel it! The warmth - the bright light - the salt tang in the air - the tingle on the toes from the water and the wet sand - the profound sense of peace when the always restive ocean is stilled to a spaced set of waves gently drifting to shore. Thank you for evoking a beachy moment when I am a fair way from a beach...ray
For many years I travelled the world painting, then exhibiting;
working as either Ann or Anie Williams my book illustrations include Images from the I Ching; both editions of A Recipe for Dreaming, and The Family Frying Pan written by Bryce Courtenay (Penguin);
and Burning Questions with Isaac Shapiro (shantipress.blogspot.com.au)
Many of my images are available as limited edition prints -
email me for details.
I love taking photographs
& like my pictures to reflect the deep interest in who we are, really.

Yes, Ray, it all comes together on those days (surfers have to go elsewhere), & now, next day, it's windy & there are hordes.
