mimics

Isn't it interesting how different things look some days?
I'd thought the trees at these sites were aggressively trying
to pull them apart, but today they remind me of a rare
octopus which mimics all the lifeforms around it:
some seem to flow over, or envelop, or to become stone

so that they can be quite hard to see.
